Cupcake “Wrapture”
I subscribe to Cupcake Journal, a fantastic blog on all things cake! Recently Louise blogged about these ADORABLE cupcake wrappers by Cupcake Wrapture (which, is by the way, The Cutest Name for a cupcake company – ever!) Cupcakes are cute enough on their own… but when you dress them up in fancy clothes ~ well… now that’s even better!

Cupcake Wrapture was created when Head Designer Lisa realized that all those pretty cupcake liners refused to stay pretty once an actual cupcake was baked inside them..
Desperate for some stylish togs for her fashion conscious cupcake friends, Lisa reached for the scissors and paper and voila! Cupcake Wrapture was born
The wraps come in several styles, colors and patterns and are quite reasonably priced (at least I think so, for the design impact they give!)

Cool Paper Cake Toppers/Crown from Le Big Kiss
I came across this fantastic idea when I was browsing on Flickr and saw this cake on Wild Cakes page…
Isn’t it LOVELY!!
The topper is a paper wrapper available to purchase at Le Big Kiss, made by English artist Tanya Short. They sell for 35-45 (euro) and come ready made or custom. The crown is a paper wrap in various motifs with embellishments of glitter, cystals, pearls/beads, metal leafing, etc. VERY UNIQUE and special I think!

Best of the Bay competition!
Glass Slipper Gourmet is competing in the SFGate.com “Best of the Bay” competion – in the wedding cakes division! How fun is that?!?
SFGate.com is an online business guide that launched Aug. 4, 1008. The site allows consumers from all over to browse the businesses operating thoughout the Bay, with a “Best of Rating” and customer reviews. The catagories range from wedding services to dog walking to auto repair. Business customers control the rating, giving 1-5 stars for service. Listing is free for those of you who would like to post your own business – and there is a “voter request” form to advertise your listing.
I’m currently tied at 4th place and I WANT GOLD!!!

Wedding Paper Divas – beautiful invitations!
I found this site Wedding Paper Divas on a great wedding inspiration blog Life.Love.Lipstick that I subscribe to…. Both sites are well worth a peek!!
Love these invites…. I’m always suggesting that people use their invitation as a “jumping off point” for their cake (and other wedding decor) design. So… I love to see the possibilities of what might come my way!

Mari’s amazing party props!
My new client and friend Mari does some outrageously gorgeous party decorations, props and interior design for her daughter’s birthday parties! EVERY year she does this and has a new theme – carried out to the 9’s! The party theme becomes the birthday girl’s bed/bath room decoration. I’ve encouraged Mari to go public with this…. it’s that good! I think it’s an inventive and creative service that many moms are unable to carry out themselves, but would love to give to their daughters! Take a peek~ (roll your mouse over each picture for a brief description). Enjoy!
Mari made the banner, gift/favor boxes, and carried out the “Pink Polka Dot and Poodle Parisian” theme in every detail!
Custom screenprint tees – with each guest’s name
Sleep-over “party box” filled with fun and games!
And, each year the birthday girl’s room decoration is changed to reflect the party theme! Now… THAT’S cool!
